Even at break point, people help you swing back

If there's one name that's synonymous with consistency and longevity, it's Leander Paes – the ace Indian tennis player. With an Olympic medal in singles, 18 Grand Slam titles, 46 Davis Cup wins and 7 consecutive appearances at the Olympics, he is the embodiment of passion, hard work, and determination.

But even for someone who is so driven on-court, he has always had people off-court who have helped him push his limits and achieve greatness.

His parents, Dr. Vece Paes, an Olympic bronze medalist, and Jennifer Paes, former captain of the India women's basketball team, have been the greatest influence in his life. They instilled the love for sport in him and unconditionally supported his decision to play tennis.

His mentor, Naresh Kumar believed in him and put his Davis Cup captaincy on the line to give Leander a chance to play for India at the age of 15.

Martina Navratilova, Leander's mixed doubles partner, helped him understand and focus on physical and mental fitness which is why Leander has been able to play successfully for 3 decades.

Martina Hingis, another very important mixed-doubles partner in Leander's career, helped fuel his extraordinary drive and passion for the game. Together they won four Grand Slams.

So every time Leander stepped on the court, it was this support from people around him that helped him ace the game consistently.

Like this, HCL's story is also about a few people coming together to create considerable impact on many individuals, communities, and businesses. We call this human potential multiplied.
